Self-Defense Training
Concept Sections

This will now be the home for the self-defense training sections previously under the Martial Fusion website.  Here you will find the training sections of the past and future articles.   From the Empty-Hand, FireStorm, and FluidLance training concepts, now we have the Basic Training, Blunt, and Edged Weapons training sections.  There will still be some references to the sections of the past, however the information is still valid.  The titles of these training concept sections have also changed.  The Basic Training Section will be for Empty-Hand Concepts, Blunt Weapons will be for Kenpo Club and Staff, and Edged Weapons will be for Kenpo Sword and Knives.

The Kenpo Filter         New Self-Defense Training Concept

Although each of these sections have methods of training described within them, they are merely concepts.  Just as with everything in Kenpo Karate and the martial arts, they are ideas and methods of motion to work with the student.  Keep in mind, the best tip in a self-defense situation would be something we have heard from many a seminar.  No matter whether you have trained for years or for days, in an altercation the best thing to do is to "find the door."  This means simply if you are in an altercation and you have a method of escape, use it.  It is much better to be a safe Kenpoist then an injured hero.  Granted if you have no way to escape, then it is best to be prepared;  which is where good, safe Kenpo training is a necessity.

Follow the  list of links for the previous training sections and the new training concept created to give this new site a fine send-off.  Future writings on the subject will also be linked here, so feel free to check back often.  And once again, none of these sections promote violence in any fashion.  They merely promote the idea of safe, diligent training in the Art of Kenpo Karate, and the practice of good self-defense.

Train Safely, keep the energy flowing, and remember it's only motion until someone gets an eye poked out.
